Pros

Just OK salary, good balance between work and life, a lot of resource to learn knowledge, good management team to face big issue.

Cons

few opportunity for career advance:For regular employee, it's hard to be promoted to managers. T& M is reletive narrow industry, it's hard to transfer other industry.

Pros

Work colleagues are predominantly intelligent, creative, competent, personable people to work with. There is very little "office politics". Work/life balance is what you make it. Salary is excellent by local standards.

Cons

The relentless focus on controlling both fixed and discretionary expenses, seemingly to placate Wall Street at any cost, underpinned (particularly in the US) by a pervasive fear of dismissal or demotion, drives all levels of management towards extremely conservative, low-risk, short-term, return-oriented decision making. Long-term strategic planning is non-existent.

Pros

It was great to work on a product that was useful, and used by a wide range of excellent companies. Getting involved with a wide variety of networking protocols is a great experience. Although the product is mature and changes are constrained by previous versions, testing was a little bit less so. In the time I was there (8 months) there were some significant changes made or planned to the testing process, some of which came from the Test Engineers as well as the managers. The coworkers are great, especially the team I worked on.

Cons

Working on a mature product meant that there was little room for creativity. The improvements and changes were constrained by the previous iterations. This applied to the testing as well, although less so.
