Pros

I had the opportunity to intern at Kirtland AFB last summer. It was a very good experience. I got to work with very smart people. The results of our research are about to be published in Energy & Environmental Science.

Cons

Some of my peers did not have the same experience I did. It really depends on what group you get to work with. As a result, some barely worked.

Pros

Appreciative managers that take care of their people. Endless opportunities to win awards and recognition as well as chances to move around.

Cons

Can sometimes be boring. People can sometimes get pigeonholed into some less than glamorous projects. You have to actively seek new challenges.
