Pros

Good culture. Middle Management is open to discussions on change. Can progress up in the company easily. Career path is well planned. Making some great changes, and recognizing the problems that we as workers face every day. Its has been hard to voice the problems and have someone listen, but this is turning around and working out well.

Cons

Salaries for non-sales staff are low, and rarely negotiated. It is very hard and uncomfortable to approach management to request a review of wages due to the situation in the industry and bonuses have not been paid for a number of years, which is quite frankly demotivating. Lots of changes, for the better, but the people running the projects probably need to be looked at and assessed. Systems are a problem. Outdated, complicated and just a pain for us workers to use. Need a major overhaul. Due to the industry changes, a lot of people were let go, but now that it is picking up, it feels understaffed and people are very stressed, and over worked.

Happier outlook ahead

Pros

Flexible working, good benefits, fun and friendly culture in the London office, room for progression, staff achievements are more recognised, communication from the Board is much better than previously.

Cons

The downturn in the oil and gas market has meant that bonuses and pay rises haven't been common place in recent years. However, the Directors remain upbeat and positive. The merger between Air and Swift last year has thrown up lots of changes, with redundancies and office moves. It seems like we are through the worst of this now, and hope it is plain sailing going forward.

Market leader, but still in a transition phase

Pros

Merged company is so much stronger than the two legacy organisations. It genuinely feels like the market leader and there are many hard working, talented and enterprising people at all levels of the business. It's a global business, so you can interact with people from around the world on a daily basis, and there are opportunities to relocate to many exciting locations. One of the company values is 'Innovative', and that does feel like a fair reflection of what the company tries to do.

Cons

The merger in January 2016 brought many opportunities and went pretty smoothly, but it has resulted in lots of changes to the business. Many people have left, and redundancies and restructures continue to take place which can result in feelings of instability. Redundancies and details of leavers are not well communicated, making the process feel a bit cloak and dagger. It feels like politics play a part in deciding who goes and who stays - if senior management take a dislike to someone, they may be forced out regardless of merit and ability. Salaries have been generally stagnant for several years, and bonuses remain non-existent - a symptom of the oil and gas downturn. Other benefits are average at best, and other forms of reward and recognition are inconsistently applied - a selection of 30 people or so get to go on a High Flyers trip, the hundreds of other employees receive very little.
