Pros

Great people, higher level leadership are easy to get behind. Product is a lot of fun to use.

Cons

Selling process is longer than most companies, you need to build the app before you can show its value to a customer.

Pros

I've been at Airtable for 6 months now. Long enough to fairly evaluate the pros and cons. The pros: - Friendly, creative, and supportive coworkers - Wide variety of use-cases. Airtable can be used in any business for almost any purpose. The people and problems you work with keep things interesting. - Quickly evolving product. New features are released at a remarkable rate given the age of this company. - Great office location in downtown Austin w/ shower and bike storage available. - Free lunches, snacks, etc.

Cons

The company has a history of hiring booms and layoffs. I was hired in one of the more recent booms and that history of the counter-cycle instills a sense of insecurity. But, this is SaaS in the AI-age, so it goes with the territory.

Great benefits, growth opportunities, and supportive culture

Pros

Joined as a customer who loved the product and that enthusiasm has continued as an employee. The company encourages exploration and trying new things, which creates real growth opportunities. I've been moved between three different orgs, but have been able to stay focused on my goals. Compensation and benefits are great - they exceeded my expectations when I joined and provide regular merit increases plus occasional bonuses. Leadership generally supports career development, and HR has been helpful when needed. Team culture is alright with a couple opportunities per year to connect with colleagues in person. Remote first work is great and I would not change that, but it inhibits building a strong team culture.

Cons

Like most companies, Airtable faces macro market pressures that can cause rapid shifts in priorities and disrupt normal work cadence. The current focus on AI has created some uncertainty across teams, but is expected given the change in landscape.
