The pay, although meeting the minimum requirement, was insufficient given the overwhelming workload I encountered on a daily basis. While the compensation was somewhat decent, it did not adequately reflect the level of effort required. On paper, the benefits appeared appealing, but in reality, very few providers in my area accepted the insurance provided. This limitation significantly reduced the practical value of the benefits package.

Cons

During my time as a CCR at ReedGroup/Alight, I encountered significant challenges that made the overall experience highly unsatisfactory. The workload was consistently overwhelming, and there was a clear lack of consideration for the well-being of employees. Dealing with irate callers and attempting to resolve issues without adequate resources created immense stress and frustration. The strict time-off policy severely hindered my ability to plan personal commitments, which was disheartening. Moreover, the lack of interest and support from management in promoting employee success resulted in a sense of isolation. The continuous negative interactions, coupled with unrealistic expectations and an overall negative atmosphere, made the job even more unpleasant. I recall a specific incident where a caller became emotionally distressed due to denied leave, and despite seeking assistance during my first day on the phones, the guidance provided was insufficient and unhelpful. This situation was exacerbated by the pressure of team contact if calls were put on hold for too long while trying to figure out what to do since training was basically useless, and the answer I received from the "consultants" was dismissive, which further added to the difficulties I faced.
