Pros

Working on your own time....somewhat

Cons

SO, so much traveling. You will be expected to drive 3-5 + hours a day like it’s no big deal. Doesn’t seem bad until you get paged out to the facility 2.5 hours away from your home multiple times. That’s 5 hours of driving for a 30 minute problem. AKA 5.5 hours of sleep lost. Your work phone averages 5 emails an hour. EVERY SINGLE HOUR. Even throughout the night. You are expected to keep the phone by you at all times. You don’t know what that’s like until you throw in being called out for problems beyond your control ALL hours of the day. It does not matter when you are paged. You are expected to be available. Right then. *****You are on call 24/7/365 BY YOURSELF. There is NO ROTATION. I repeat, NO rotation. You will be worn down - mentally, physically, & emotionally...quicker than you could have thought is possible. You will miss holidays you didn’t expect to miss. You will miss important family functions you didn’t expect to miss. You can’t go anywhere while being on call 24/7/365 for fear of being paged for a problem. You cannot have a life. Being a remote employee sounds great, but when updates happen, or there are changes in the way things are supposed to be done, NO ONE IS THERE TO SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT. You’re SOL. Nurses at the nursing homes take advantage of you, and are unwilling to even let you in the med rooms to do your job. There is nothing AlixaRx as a company can do to help you in this area. I once waited 45 minutes to be let in to do my job

Pros

Tough one. Biweekly pay period?

Cons

Bad technology (most of your time is spent making up for software shortcomings) Bad management (can'r manage their way out of paper bag) Bad corporate culture (they don't care about employees) Bad hiring practices (you have a pulse? you're hired...oops, you're terrible, you're fired) Bad processes (no regard for regulatory compliance, labor laws, logic)

Pros

Coffee in the break room.

Cons

No management, more drama than high school, pay is sad, no body listens to your questions or concerns. You just have to go in and ignore everyone so you don't get involved in the petty drama. You'll get blamed for things you weren't even part of . Turn around is absolutely horrible. One day you'll be full staffed , the next the building is empty. 5 new people will be starting that next week, but you're lucky if 1 of them even stays.
