Pros

Alkermes is an exciting, growing company with a proven commitment to helping people and communities affected by serious conditions. It hasn't been overtaken with a big company feel, and retains a culture that supports collaboration, fosters innovation and provides support and opportunity for employees.

Cons

Having grown the company isn't all in one building which could threaten the organic innovation and collaboration that exists today and may prevent growing departments from having opportunity to know other functions and leaders within the business.

We're growing quickly, which presents a lot of opportunity to make a difference, but rapid growth also has it challenges. That said, the company is committed to maintaining it's culture.

Pros

Outstanding place to work. Excellent benefit package and very caring work environment. People generally care about each other in addition to our company's mission and purpose. What we do makes a difference. Employees want to do the right thing and that is what makes Alkermes unique. Lots of opportunity for growth and exposure to different work activities. Best company I have ever worked for and hope to remain here for a long time!

Cons

Growth pains as any company experiences. Sometimes longer tenured employees struggle to "fit" as we move forward and that can be challenging. Work/life balance varies by department. Some mention our location is not great, however, it's not bad and you can choose to live either close to the plant which is in a rural area, or in the bigger populated areas in northern Cincinnati or Dayton. Not an issue for most folks!
