Pros

Very few right now, with loss upcoming loss of CBF.

Cons

Lackluster management, often say hurtful things about employees when they think no one is listening. Not family friendly. Will soon be closing San Antonio office but are keeping employees in the dark, to keep staff for the upcoming move of CBF to Ascensus.

Pros

-Smart people -Pretty much everyone pulls their weight -Interesting work

Cons

-Few women are promoted or hired into leadership positions, but when it comes time for layoffs, "key" women represent an equal share. They have some mentoring programs for women and POC, but in practice it's the same old glass ceiling. Some teams are full-on boys clubs. -Arrogance and condescension are more common than collaboration, giving credit where it's due, and appreciation, making those who "work well with others" really stand out. To be fair, that's often taken as a sign of weakness. -So much being understaffed and overworked.

I realize the asset management industry is cyclical, but seeing women who had been been here for 15-20 years get laid off with no notice was very disheartening. We then had a town hall the following week where they talked about the importance of diversity in leadership, and how it was so important to promote from within. Meanwhile, the number of female SVPs was nearly cut in half in February…
