Pros

I firmly believe that Allied is a great place to work when you are starting out in your career - they offer just what you need for learning how to operate in the business world, the corporate structure, and life working in a for-profit business. Some other great things: -Bonusly program: rewarding your coworkers redeemable for gift cards, etc -There are A LOT of people who love employee engagement and are constantly planning events, get togethers, etc. Find these people and participate in their events! -The office has a great location right next to Quincy Brown/Purple/Orange line and plenty of restaurants and places to walk around - the office encourages getting up and walking - HR puts on a lot of events that promote wellness -Virtual policy is great (based on manager/department discretion)

Cons

While Allied is a great place to work initially, I can see why there is quite a bit of burnout at the entry level positions. It will take a while to move up to a manager/better suited position (as with any company), and the benefits just don't outweigh the wait: -50 cent raises per year for hourly employees -Some cliquey vibes: some people have been there a long time and insist on things their way -Unprofessional ways of handling mistakes -The employee engagement is awesome, but your employees would prefer better pay, better benefits, more holidays off. A pizza party can't solve these problems -The company is essentially split into two different business operations and you can definitely tell that upper management/exec favors one over the other -Have to use your personal computer while working virtual
