We are in competition with a new trend of buyers that dont want to deal with human interaction. Very competitive, and you have to sell insurance products unfortunately the company owns a digital only insurance product that competes with their own agents and people will sometimes find better rates there than with dealing with an agent. (Allstate owns Esurance, but there are differences between the brands. Allstate offers full-service coverage with physical agents handling relationships, while Esurance caters to digital insurance shoppers who want to do everything from their mobile device) We have to underwrite policies and our commissions are depending on the company approving what you submitted but rules are very stringent and many policies fail underwriting, it is difficult to deal with getting leads, selling the product , closing the customer and after all that you still hang on a thread by another person approving your sale. Then dont be surprised in 2-3 months or less, customer wants to switch companies as well because of rate increases. You may have chargebacks depending on your office policy.
