Pros

pto is great and they do offer a pension. some of the employees who work within other departments are great.

Cons

very low pay compared to other companies within the industry. in the southeast region in particular, (the atlanta office of allstate) there has been so much turnover with management, including the field vice president and claims vice president- both whom were fired. the morale is very, very low. and the marketing deparment is terrible. has gone thru several incompetent managers, and the current management is so extremely micro-managed and full of control freaks. will work you to death and expect you to work and check email over pto, etc. no respect for boundaries, etc. very unprofessional and plays favorities. management in marketing is not very well thought of by others and makes it to be very uncomfortable working conditions. not recommended to work here. will bait and switch job description once you get in. best advice: look elsewhere!!!!! agents also HATE the region. very hard to get past that with agents.

Pros

Stable company, highly AM Best rated Huge Corporate name and identity to market place Some long term career possibilities Average pay and good benefits

Cons

HIgh pressure at all levels Very little recognition of accomplishments Very little interaction with superiors Others represent you and your efforts/abilities/skills and results to others for advancement Must fit in to the culture. They say they like outside ideas, but step on those that exhibit or verbally speak about other employer experiences.
