Micromanaged

Pros

If you love being micromanaged and not respected, this is the place for you.

Cons

No matter how hard you work, every little detail is micromanaged and all your hard work is never acknowledged. You are only expected to do more with less resources. Ally says to practice essentialism, what they mean by that is they are spending a lot of money opening unnecessary offices while trying to save money with low yearly raises and bonuses and severely understaffing departments but expecting more work to get done. Leaders have no respect for the hard work of their teams. We are treated like children and have no voice. It is so frustrating that Ally says they value our feedback but then completely dismiss all of our concerns and try to spin it in a positive light. They are not remote-friendly at all. Their idea of flexibility is having my remote director and manager monitor every single week to make sure our team was in the office 3 days, even though none of us are at the same site. My remote manager advised we could not work at home if we were sick on an in-office day, and that instead, we had to call out sick. This is going to cause people to come to the office and spread sickness. We were told we were not allowed to schedule appointments on in-office days and that had to be done on remote days. How is that flexible? This is not a true hybrid schedule at all, please beware if you are looking at joining this company, the culture is miserable and you will have no autonomy.

Pros

Good vision for the overall high level culture. Mediocre pay but great benefits.

Cons

My team dynamics and leadership are stressful and unsupportive. It is hard being in a constant negative environment. I do not like having to go into office the majority of the week just to work alone. Ally seems to be taking a serious downturn with employee satisfaction and it shows. Instead of mentoring our department, our leader treats us like incompetent children.
