Gaslighting

Pros

I like my team and the actual work I do.

Cons

Not remote friendly. Made to go to office for completely asynchronous work. Will ignore all feedback from employees about their needs. Gaslights you into pretending being in the office is working. Completely downplaying COVID concerns and gaslighting us about our health concerns. One week they send out communication acknowledging COVID cases are spreading in the office. The next week, they communicate they are even bringing back unvaccinated employees into the office. Some of my team members are allowed to stay remote. It does not create a cohesive team when some are allowed to stay remote while others are forced into office. It creates and environment of mistrust and resentment especially when the leaders of the team are remote.

Pros

None that I can think of that balance out

Cons

Not truthful about the covid cases and transmission on site. I got covid at work and they didn't report it properly. We have been sharing concern for months about transmission in office and they are just now acknowledging the spread in office but still making us come into office for no reason. They are making us test every week but we don't have access to tests.

Pros

It's a paycheck and health benefits.

Cons

1) For an online financial company/bank with no actual physical banking locations it seems ludicrous to require employees to work in office. CEO and executives making these choices are out of touch. 2) The "Do it right" motto implies doing the right thing and being honest but in my opinion there's questionable behavior from recruiters and hiring managers. Get everything in writing in advance. Leave nothing open-ended.
