Pros
Pay and benefits are fair.
Cons
The most senior leadership here shows pretty blatant favoritism and bases employment decisions on personal preference. I meet and exceed all my metrics, I participate in growing the culture and engagement opportunities, I have perfect attendance, I treat my coworkers with respect and compassion, I exhibit all lead core values, and I respect the authority of my supervisor. I always help coworkers with questions and try to create a culture of support and learning. I present myself professionally and engage with others. Even through all this, I get feedback that I am not leadership material but no specific examples can be given as to why. I am not offered any ways to improve my skills and am not told what I need to improve. I proactively seek out ways to build my skills and leadership but the leadership here refuses to support that if you are not their personal friend. For months I have been focused on career development and keep being denied. I have had a strong performance for years and always act with integrity. Instead of giving me a fair chance, the senior leader here hired a personal friend as our new supervisor when they haven't worked here in years and were not professional with other employees when they did work here. None of the current Ally employees that worked so hard for a supervisor position were even considered. Instead, favoritism was the only concern and an external hire was made for the sole reason that they are friends with leadership. I think corporate needs to have some oversite into the hiring practices and management practices here. There are no employee development options for us when such practices happen regularly.
