Pros

Not many pros that are competitive or realistic.

Cons

Ally has irrational expectations of employees and doesn't provide much benefit to weigh this out for employee satisfaction. The workload is ridiculous and unrealistic but Ally refuses to hire the people needed so they can save money. The CEO preaches essentialism and won't staff appropriately due to costs but then blows money on new offices instead of allowing any remote work. The offices are awful for productivity. The coworkers have no motivation and are miserable so everyone is constantly at each other's throats. You will not be treated with respect by seniors here. Ally is not trustworthy, they promised flexibility in remote work and immediately yanked it away. 4 days in the office with no expectations and no flexibility, regardless if any of your team is actually at the same site. That is not flexible and that is not a hybrid position like they are listing in job postings. Leadership is arrogant, inaccessible, demeaning, and out of touch. They preach for us to work harder, how being in the office is great, and that we need to do more with less. Yet they work from a position of privilege and don't even attempt to understand the experience of the people who do the real work. They are remote while their teams are not allowed flexibility. They sit in meetings at home all day and breath down our back to always do more, more, more. Then they get preachy in meetings that we are not doing enough. The pay here is low compared to the industry and the culture is fake and toxic. Their is no true benefit to working here unless you have no other options.

Pros

This is a soul sucking corporate job working for a sneaky, discriminating and unethical corporation.

Cons

Do not believe Ally's lies about being a diverse, inclusive, and employee focused company. Just read all these reviews to see the real picture. Only senior leaders praise Ally and that is because they are forced to. Ally has a long history of racial discrimination in their auto loan practices. They are also repeatedly sued for not properly notifying before repossessing and refusing bank services for DACA recipients. Their biggest shareholders and board should give you an insight into what a terrible company they are and how poorly they treat their employees. Vanguard 10% - History of cheating on taxes. The Vanguard Group is the largest shareholder in right-wing media conglomerate FOX News Corp. Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC 5% - Fined for price fixing, endless lawsuits for racial and gender discriminations, predatory lending, and insider trading. Blackrock 5% - The largest financer of climate destroying industries, involved in advising governments, a sign of the excessive, unbalanced corporate power. Ally is no more trustworthy in their employment practices. They regularly discriminate against disabled people and military spouses. They do not want to be inclusive to all, they only want cookie cutter employees who are easy to control. Do not work here if you have a mind of your own. 7 of the 12 board of directors are old white men, with only 4 women, 1 person of color, and only one person under the age of 50. This overly controlling board does not come from a position of diversity and understanding, don't be fooled. Ally is not a productive environment for young workers and are in no way innovative.

Pros

none that make it worth all this mess

Cons

Does not listen to employees Only cares about recession and inflation how it relates to their bottom line and not about how it is devastating to employees financial well being. Pay is low and not competitive. We are being forced to commute to office and waste money throughout a looming recession but then told they are hiring a 100% remote workforce in other states. They do not invest in current employees to make it a more desirable workplace but they bend over backward to provide new employees with the flexibility and benefits they won't give us. Clowning really out here forcing us into and office and making us pretend to be happy with a pizza party and low pay, no work life balance We need a new CEO and president who know what they doing and know how to relate to and motivate the current workers cause this is a bad look. I feel like I am stuck in a bad episode of the office for real.
