      Pros

      Working with children is incredibly rewarding and the split schedule worked great for me personally. The pay was good for the most part and management was communicative. It truly didn’t feel like work on the best of days, but in the worst, burnout was intense.

      Cons

      Upper management was helpful, but I was placed at a school with significant behavioral issues and felt a bit unsupported as I needed some assistance working with tough parents and needed additional staff to help things flow due to this. Additionally, you aren’t told when hired full time that if your children are picked up early or that you don’t have things to do at home for your program, that you won’t get a full 40 hours. A good relationship with upper management was helpful for this, but only achieved a full forty on a couple of occasions.
