      Bottom line focus

      Pros

      Some pockets of the organization have a learning, development and employee-oriented culture. There are many wonderful people who work at this organization. This company has the potential to be great. The share price does very well.

      Cons

      The tone from the top is that the bottom line takes precedence over employee growth. There is very weak communication and executive level presence in this organization on a day-to-day basis. It's unfortunate how many people are under utilized while senior management keeps hiring VPs from external sources.

      it used to be a good place to work

      Pros

      this used to be a great place to work, sadly its fallen victim to its own success. At one time they hired only the best and brightest. Work-life balance used to be stellar, now 60+ hour weeks are the norm.

      Cons

      A lot of the "new wave" of management hires have been people who can talk a lot, but can't achieve anything The company has stopped promoting from within. It is routine now to pass over more than qualified people in favour of outsiders - the "grass is greener" symptom.
