Pros
They have a competetive benefits package, 100% company paid medical/dental/vision insurance, a genuinely fun environment with great teammates, an excellent health & wellness program, active community outreach, and actual inclusion of non-headquarters locations (read: C-suite management cares that we exist). Granted, some of these are much easier for a smaller company than for a huge multinational. In the time I've been here, we've annually had a picnic at a local farm, a little league baseball evening, a golf tournament, and a Christmas party. My team has also done paintball, an escape room, and a couple movies. In a couple months we're having a bike-building competition to support a local charity. The CEO actually bothers to talk with us "peon" employees, and it feels like he actually values our feedback. As some have mentioned, many of the negative reviews are from people who were disgruntled over how the merger was implemented (forming Altamira out of 2 smaller companies circa 2013), but please know that's largely irrelevant now as 98% of current employees have been hired since that went down.
Cons
While our bonus structure is described in the company policy guide and onboarding slides, there seems to be uncertainty about how to apply it. Perhaps that's a subtle way of telling me that I haven't earned one yet, but either way I'd much rather have direct feedback and clear guidance that I can work on.
