Pros

- good pay and hours ($10/brand rep; $14/guest lead) - great culture among store associates - mostly flexible with school schedule/unplanned events - lots of hours - great intentions (poor execution by corporate though)

Cons

- lots of hours whether you want them or not as a part time manager - corporate office doesn't actually care about employee feedback - willing to give you all the authority and responsibilities of a job you know you're capable of executing, but not willing to give raises or benefits to anyone except full-time employees; incentives only count for full-time employees - literal quote from CEO in terms of how they handled COVID-19 precautions, "if you don't like what we have to say or what we do, you can leave." Also, the company didn't provide any cleaning supplies for COVID-19 safety until mid-June and expected employees to pay out of pocket to find supplies for themselves and the stores, and then would be reimbursed by the company for the store's supplies (which were incredibly hard to find).

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed working with your fellow associates, and that you were able to work a flexible schedule that fit your schedule for school. As we reopened our stores, we did ask select associates to source proper cleaning supplies locally. Given the nationwide shortage, we were often unable to purchase in large enough quantities for all locations, and shipping times were often delayed by several weeks. Purchasing locally was an effective way to ensure all teams could obtain the supplies that we needed to safely reopen. Any reimbursement was immediate, as it was done with cash on hand at the store. The quote that you mention from our CEO was not made in reference to anything related to our reopening process. As we do with most important changes in our business, we sought feedback from all associates about our reopening process, and we made several great adjustments based on that feedback. We are proud of our associates for working incredibly hard to reopen their stores and for supporting each other throughout this pandemic. We have continued to invest in our associates despite the challenges of the pandemic, looking for ways to make their experience more rewarding and meaningful as they build their careers at Altar’d State and work together to serve our guests. Reopening our stores successfully was a unique challenge, and like most teams, we had to make some smart adjustments to how we operate in order to keep providing rewarding opportunities to our 2,000+ associates. This often called for increased flexibility and an openness to change on the part of all associates; including those that work in our Home Office and Distribution Center as well as our Store Teams. We are incredibly grateful for their efforts, and we look forward to rewarding them with a better than ever experience at work as we continue to improve and make our team stronger as we rebound from the challenges of 2020.

Pros

Great discount, fifty percent off, decent location.

Cons

Can't afford to give employees shifts, management is awful, two hour closing, a lot of drama, extremely short breaks. The managers are all fake and will say that they focus on the customer instead of the sale which is a flat out lie. They only care about numbers and how much money you can bring in. They only care about the customers' wallets.

Pros

The co workers are nice

Cons

They give really bad hours, not to mention at my location the managers are not reflective of the store. As a Christian based store, the managers are unprofessional, rude, and immature. They act like high school girls. Never responded to important emails, and completed ignored my two weeks notice.
