Pros

Cute Clothes, great discount, pretty store

Cons

The management are extremely rude. They do call-in shifts, which is actually illegal for retail in my state. I have worked in a few different retail stores before this one, and I have never been treated so lowly in my life. They hired a ton of girls who had no experience upon opening, and the whole thing was a mess. Before opening, the RM, other store managers and floorset people sat around in a circle talking bad about other managers in the district. They were loud, used names and locations, and talked in great detail about peoples interviews in front of people I know are not HR approved. If you want to work for this company, good luck.

Pros

LOVE the company culture and community, great employee discount, opportunities for promotion, unique and creative visuals, ability to have ownership of the way your store is run, and great in-store leadership structure that divides up responsibilities. Company is quickly evolving and adapting to stand out in the industry. This job is geared towards those who are passionate about fashion and retail and perfect for my fashion merchandising background! I love being able to put my personal touch on things and watch the way customers react to our stores!

Cons

Employee's can come and go quickly depending on individual store morale and their personal work ethics. The position is a dream job if you can properly recruit and train your team members. Really up to store management to set the tone and planning for their building.

Assistant store manager

Pros

A sense of faith and closeness to your spirituality. Getting to share God with everyone who walks through the door.

Cons

Horrible hours (you're there until AT LEAST eleven at night)...talk about NO work/life balance. The company has done truly unethical things like working people technically off the clock before they are even officially logged into the system and had their paperwork processed (can you say ILLEGAL?) and then the store manager will have you go in and falsify hours by adding them into payroll weeks later. It took one of our managers almost 2 entire months to get her paycheck. Apparently contacting headquarters every single day regarding not getting your paycheck AND having your regional manager and district manager "on it" still doesn't resolve the issue for months. Absolutely ridiculous considering the manager had been an employee for over a year before this incident. The pay is awfully low considering they request you to work overtime and you're salary. Not only are hours stretched over long and endless days, but they let absolutely deceitful and foolish "adults" hold the title of store manager.
