Pros

Be prepared to fall in love with the things the company stands for, as well as the people you work with. The upper management and executives truly care about you and your success as a person, even when times get tough. If you're driven, hard working, and wanting to work for a company that stands out, this is the place for you.

Cons

It's easy to become overly invested in the success of your store, thus sometimes affecting your work/life balance (i.e. holiday season). Also, being that the company is still new and rapidly growing, they're still working out kinks in a few areas, so patience is a must.

Altar'd State isn't just a job, it is a community, a family of some of the most caring and passionate individuals I've ever met. The work environment is friendly, fun and creative. There are many great employee benefit programs and fun perks. The office is dog friendly and always entertaining. Altar'd State has pushed me professionally and empowered me to take my career to the next level.

Cons

They have not yet set up a paid maternity leave policy.

Thank you for your response. As a seven-year old company, we continue to evaluate and design new, competitive benefits programs. From newly introduced paid Sabbatical programs, Student Debt Repayment plans, Company-paid Peru Give Back Trips, and competitive health and wellness programs with no healthcare increases for several years, we will continue improve the associate experience every year.

Altar'd State has pushed me to career goals that I never thought I would reach. Through my fellow employees who have grown into my family to a great creative work environment, there is no other place I could see myself working.

Cons

I would say work/life balance is the one thing that I struggle with, but this issue is something that is improving everyday.
