Pros

What originally attracted me to this company was the motto used to represent who we are and that’s “stand out for good.” I have worked in retail since I was old enough to do so, and what I’ve learned is that it’s always about growing the business. However, Altar’d State opened my eyes to more than that and showed me a company that has a heart. We are a place that has a bigger purpose of growing our business. One that isn’t about the personal gain, but about the impact we can make locally and around the world. Who would have thought you could make such a huge difference in the world through selling a beautiful dress?! I love that we are about helping others and making a difference! This company puts people first and just as much as the guest is valued, so are the employees. Altar’d State asks for continuous feedback in ways that it can grow and become better for the people they employ and they strive daily to put things into the works for making it happen. I’ve never had better benefits anywhere else and they continue to add to these! During this difficult time of uncertainties in our world, I’ve found how truly blessed I am to work for a company led by a man that is led by his faith. Aaron Walters is more than a man of words, but a man of selfless actions.

Cons

No matter where you work, there will be cons. I believe that cons are a matter of perspective and the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Altar’d State is a younger company and has it’s growing pains, but it’s important to know that they’re getting better with age.

Pros

This company is growing and continues to care about their employees and is really trying to help the world with the give back mission and sponsoring local charities. Also being a newer company, they are much more susceptible to jew ideas and voices. They care about their employees. Right now with COVID-19, this company is continuing to pay their employees til June 5.

Cons

Because this is a newer company, there are growing pains. But no matter what they communicate clearly.

Pros

Altar'd State is a Give Back Company, donating a portion of every sale everyday to both global and local charities. By working with this company I have the chance to make a difference every single day! We are regularly gifted tools to enhance both our personal and professional development. There is an open line of communication to our CEO who truly cares about each and every team member. We are encouraged to share our personal take-aways from each book we read as a company. You feel an immediate sense of support from your store and district leaders with Altar'd State. Everyday I am given the opportunity to fully own my DOR, and to truly have a role in driving the business and developing our team. You regularly communicate and are visited by district leaders. There is a true partnership between the stores and field leaders. Altar'd State is all about people and true relationship development. Your leaders care about your career goals and help you to develop the skills needed to reach these goals.

Cons

This can be seen as a con to some. It is important to have a four year degree in order to pursue full time management roles, if you do no have plans to obtain your Bachelor's Degree your growth will be limited. This is important to note as the majority of retailers do not require a degree. On the plus side Altar'd State does offer student loan reimbursement of $1,000 each year beginning after your first year of service.
