Pros

Not a great place to work. They will have you doing everything but your job title. They have a high turn over rate do to the pay not being that great.

Cons

Nothing positive to say about this company.

Pros

High-pay, discount, and getting to work alongside some awesome people

Cons

Where to start… if you’re wanting to work for a company that cares about your growth and development then this isn’t the right place for you. If you want to be apart of this company then you have to take an “evaluation” and depending on what you score on that evaluation will determine your future with the company (if you score low potential or potential they are required to turn down your application). You are only allowed to hire candidates who score high potential. That being said, as a manager if you have someone apply who you think would be amazing and they miss it by one point, they can’t work for the company. I’ve seen hard-worked promotions get immediately washed down the drain all because of 1 point. I watched some of the best store managers in retail walk away from this company, because of how horribly they are treated. They use the high-pay as a crutch. Many store leaders describe it as “selling your soul for six figures.” And every single one of them have walked away because it’s not worth it. If you are apart of the leadership team you have no work-life balance. You are expected to make the store your first priority over everything. The higher-ups spend their entire time degrading store management and will take away any ounce of joy or confidence you might have in this retail world. All-in-all if you’re looking at working for a company that only cares about their image and praise store leaders for whichever makes them look best on Linkd in or leveraging every single day then this is the place for you.

Smoke and Mirrors

Pros

Pet Friendly! You can bring your dog to work.

Cons

Nice business model but it is all smoke and mirrors. Dishonorable Leaders! It is truly a shame that with the company's mission and good things some customers think we lead by the conditions the employees are required to work under are God awful. Within a Christian company, I have met some of the worst. I have had to explain my Christian beliefs to an atheist. I was challenged by a leader about the "reality of Christmas", while standing next to a nativity scene. IRONIC! Vice Presidents to District Leaders are very underhanded and scandalous. You honestly can not trust anyone in the company. I reported serval times about the harassment and bullying I experienced ; NOTHING was handled. It starts from the top. Majority of the toxicity within the stores start with the DLs. Rather than developing teams; they rather take the time to put the Store Leaders and Assistant Leaders against each other. (Whenever they feel so compelled to actually come in and talk to the team.) I have never experienced a more unethical upper management "team". DLs talk to you as if you are trash; (using vulgar language, having uncontrollable temper tantrums, gossiping with leaders, and gaslighting). They are more concerned with how things look on paper vs. the actual PEOPLE that run the business. Many of the DLs are just there ! They treat everyone how they feel... stuck in a sandwich. Failing to lead by example or take the proper necessary steps to be actual LEADERS. Personal ego, bias, and bullying is how they make determinations for multi million dollar units... Yet they call it a Great Place to Work. ZERO CULTURE or VALUES !
