Pros

The store is pretty and you think the job is going to be amazing when you first start.

Cons

If you want a petty work environment that is full of drama then this job is for you. Even as a customer I wouldn't waste your time you are not paying for quality you are paying for the "look" of the store. While I worked there I found the same exact top we were selling at walmart for $14.99 and we sold it for $79.95. I showed one of the managers and they told me "oh yeah I bet it is the exact same top." Also they claim they are such a give back company yet on Monday's they only give 10% of each sale to a charity which we were barely aware of the charity and promoting it on Mondays. Also I asked a manager what they do with all of their excess inventory, because they order way too much and she told me they sell it to Gabes, T J max etc instead of donating it? Their jewelry always breaks you will have people coming in constantly to say they wore their necklace for one night and it broke. Their stuff is not great quality, but it is so expensive it is ridiculous. I also came into a really petty environment where there was lots of drama, managers dropping the f bomb constantly, lack of communication, lack of hours, managers talking crap about brand reps behind their backs, and just a terrible management team and style. Some managers also have told information to some brand reps that normally management wouldn't share, but like I said lack of management structure. I also expressed interest to a manager there that I would possibly want to look into growth within in the company and she told me "Yeah goodluck with that you won't get it. Home office doesn't like to hire people who work in the stores." So there was not support or nice advice given. This was at the West Town Mall location. So honestly just save your time and energy and go work for a company that not only states its values and company culture, but acts on it as well.

Pros

None-this is a loop of constant stress and manipulation.

Cons

Toxic, Manipulative, Deceitful, Judgmental This is the EPITOME of what you would call...IN IT FOR THE MONEY. I never ever EVER believe in any Christian store unless I am sure they have there heart in it for the right reasons. This establishment uses biblical/faith-based merchandise to sell, sell, sell. They will not have your back, and ultimately, grow to become “perfect”, and in that-there is no such thing. Employer will call you lazy, and have-it-be, will talk negatively behind your back and even in front of you if you are aware. Leave, insanely toxic and brutal. Never step in, they just want your money! I highly recommend those to watch what they want from you, if you are curious to work there, they will not be clear with the exact details of the job, especially if they need help in management and staff. “Are you ready?”, is a common slogan they use to implement the motto of promotion and training. -This method and promotional platform is quite overwhelming, it’s basically having all associates and staff carry too much work and assigning INSANELY particular tasks to a very high standard. AKA-getting away with releasing work on anybody and everybody working to , “prepare and lead in the direction of growth” : which is all nonsense. Unless you drank their sparkle juice walking in with their wings and fairy dust, do NOT work here, or shop! -they use the 5 sense rule, actively targeting the five senses in the atmosphere to garner a better customer experience, to drive up sales, not to get a genuine response. God bless, this mess!

Pros

Discount. Loyal customers who are very inspired by the mission. The ability to help the community.

Cons

Drama, Inconsistent Upper Management, No Handbook (SOPs...nothing), Nobody working at Home Office is responsive (at least in a timely manner) or ever even in the office for that matter, Task Load Does Not Equate To Hours Given. There is drama at a store level, which trickles down from a District level, which trickles down from an extremely unprofessional person working within Regional. Was completely "WOW'D" by the review I saw posted recently by someone in my own district having the AUDACITY to call out another Manager that recently left the brand from our district over HEARSAY. This is the kind of thing that made this a completely disgusting place to work & the District Managers can't say or do anything about it, because they encourage it! They say things at Summits telling people if they want to stay at the brand they should get on Glassdoor and post comments defending the brand and making all negative posts harder to find. Every single time I saw my DMs, they were talking smack about each other to Store Managers and sometimes even Assistant Managers(The VDM has a LOT to say about the DM), about Store Managers to Assistants, about Assistants to Guest Leads...I've even heard of them talking smack about Store Managers to Brand Reps! They embarrassed my staff in front of guests rather than coaching respectfully. They have built such a negative environment that every single day when I walked into my store, my only goal as a manger simply had to be to try to undo the damage that they had done. Reaching out to HR was useless, as they go months without answering. They also have been known to share private conversations with DMs as a "heads up" which only makes it harder for those that are seeking help. I have proof that my DM walked out of my store with a copy of my letter to HR in her purse--a letter that HR never bothered to discuss with me. The company is corrupt and does not at all operate like anyone who values their people should. Have experienced first-hand and heard peers' experiences about the company disrespecting their family lives, marriages, and even threatening their children! Unprofessional doesn't even begin to touch it! Turnover is HIGH & for all the right reasons. Stay away.
