      Fast-Paced and Challenging but Vacation is Minimal

      Pros

      Altec offers a comfortable work environment with friendly coworkers. Benefits offered are very good. The work was very fast-paced and challenging, so there was never a dull moment.

      Cons

      Vacation is very limited--10 days PTO each year until your 6th year when you get 15 days each year.

      Pros

      Good Work/Life Balance, room for advancement in select departments. Awesome benefits package. Altec produces, by far the best aerial and digger equipment in the industry.

      Cons

      Relatively clueless middle management, most of which have been promoted within. Almost as if promotions to management are alternatives to firings. Middle managers are shuffled around to various departments for upper managers to decide where the middle managers can do the least damage. Not all departments function like this, but many really do. Salary is barely fair for the level of responsibility placed on most employees.
