Pros

There was nothing good about working at Alteryx.

Cons

There are so many so I will list as many as possible: - They recently laid off a bunch of amazing people and the basis on which this decision was made was 100% unfair, to the point where even HR and management kept changing the criteria and couldn't keep up with their lies. But we all knew the real truth, it was based off on favouritism. If you weren't a company sweetheart or a suck up to your manager, you were automatically the first to go. It was ruthless, HR didn't care about how they treated you, and more importantly your management team didn't either, no goodbye, no checking in to see how you or your mental health are. NOTHING. - Alteryx really don't know how to run a business. They force teams to shove additional products down customers throats and keep forcing teams to take part in call-out days. It got to the point where customers were so fed up with speaking to us and weren't interested in doing business with Alteryx anymore. If Alteryx continues like this, I won't be surprised if they're out of business next year. - As soon as I started I could tell there was a really "clique" culture at the company. Managers immediately favoured their friends who had joined the company, company sweethearts, people that sucked up to them and screamed from the rooftop about how great they are. Even if you were an over-achiever and had a great relationship with internal teams and your customers but weren't a suck up, they didn't care about you one bit. In addition to this it was apparent that racism existed in the company, particularly amongst manager and senior leadership and there have been known cases of this previously. This made it an awful place to work, there was no inclusivity whatsoever. - Alteryx has 0 strategy. They're trying to be a cloud company which is failing tremendously because they're not. They don't care about their customers, they just try to manipulate them and take more of their money which is completely unethical. This list could go on and on, but I don't want to waste more time on this rubbish company. If you are thinking to apply here for a job, PLEASE DON'T. If you still work there, GET OUT. No one cares about you, your mental health, whether you're a top achiever, you're just a number. It's the most awful place I've ever worked and by far the worst management I've ever worked for. Please do yourself a favour and don't waste any time on this place!

Pros

The paycheck its good and the benefits. Product its good but too expensive.

Cons

Leadership full of amateur people and majority of people got promoted or hired for being “friends”. If you are an international employee non-commonwealth background expect not to be in a leader role expect if it is technical. What I was sold while being hired its complete the opposite once you join. Large turnover specially from people that stayed in the company for more than 3 years since they are just waiting to cash put their equity stock.

Hi there and thanks for sharing your thoughts - I'm sorry to hear that we're missing your expectations and I'd like to ask if you'd be willing to connect confidentially to share more with me directly about your experience here. Given the growth plans we have in place, many of our colleagues (myself included) are in their first two years here at Alteryx, and I want to ensure that we're doing the very best job we can to align candidates' expectations to the employee experience. You deserve that and I'll do whatever I can to help align our delivery to what you joined us for. Please reach out to me on email at your convenience and thanks for the opportunity to take in your feedback - it's critical for us to hear and incorporate as we move forward. Thanks! David

Pros

As one of the more junior associates in the team (and with only a 1-year work experience), what I look for most in a job is mentorship, challenge & growth. I’m very thankful to be surrounded by supportive mentors (from both the SE & AE team) who consistently challenge me to always perform my very best; who lead by example; who always encourage me to improve and be a better professional version of myself everyday (as I quote one of my managers, “Learning doesn’t stop here”). Amazing customers to work with - especially in this landscape where data analytics is quintessential in any business, that thrill of solving a customer’s problem with our robust platform is immeasurable. Great colleagues who I’m proud to work with everyday. Bringing the concept of self-service analytics is tough in a region like ours, but everyone of us really gave our 200% to solve real, impactful issues.

Cons

The nature of this market is extremely fast-paced. What will be relevant now may not be relevant in the next 1 year, or even the next few months. We need to be constantly innovative and vigilant to continue to be the disruptor - or else we will be disrupted.
