A healthy maintenance schedule is pretty far down the list of priorities, which makes the job drastically harder. Endlessly chasing fires to keep the machines running, putting off PMs and not doing them to the level required because of a demanding work load. Which then causes the endless cycle.

Everything else. The plant managers are stuck in the old ages and one was very aggressive. This one plant manager I worked with was extremely combative and ruined working for the company as a whole. Ruined my experience so much that I had to quit after a few months. Toxic work culture in these plants. Opportunities to do your job to the fullest extent was nearly impossible because of them.
