Pros

Long hours, many challenges. Long periods away from home and family. If that is what you are after, this is the place to work.

Cons

Most of the challenges are due to upper managements inability to think out side the box and create more problems than they solve. Very little recognition for what you do as upper management is too busy patting themselves on the back.

Pros

Insurance was inexpensive The office was pleasant

Cons

The cons started day one. My "onboarding" was handful of video calls with people who didn't know who I was and I didn't know who they were. I couldn't tell you who I spoke to, what their job was, or how I was supposed to interact with them because I never spoke to them again. There was ZERO training on anything about their systems, their processes, anything. After more than a year I still have no idea how to do the vast majority of things, and asking for clarification was like shouting into the abyss. In fact, discussing anything with the Senior Leadership Team is an exercise in futility. Every call with them they ask us to let them know what we need to be successful, and every call the sales team lists a half dozen things. And that's where it ends. The second the call is over its like it never happened. My job is supposed to be to drive new sales, but there is no structure whatsoever to the sales team. I have customers literally all over the country with no rhyme or reason as to why. The sales layout is constantly in a state of uncertainty, with executive management saying for more than a year that they are "still trying to figure out how we want to align territories". The manufacturing facilities are always shutting down our customers due to the inability to fulfill orders. I would say that 90% of my time has been trying to find a way to get my customers the orders that we have already confirmed but delayed. The company is coming off of a miserable sales year in 2021 due to poor planning, poor equipment maintenance, and most of all a complete lack of direction from the Senior Leadership Team. This company is a dumpster fire, and I would recommend that any prospective employee or customer stay as far away from Altium Packaging as possible.

Pros

Decent pay and good people at the plant level

Cons

Everything! No autonomy, messed up budget that you are expected to follow even though you don't agree on it. Impossible goals and MAJOR disconnect between senior leadership. Just look at how many openings there are and you'll see. Most of the PM roles turn over in a year or less. Many plants get a new one every 9months to a year. No support and nobody listens but you will be put through a grinder day in and day out. If you're smart, you will run. They have not chanhed and will not. White men and littler diversity.
