Pros

Consistency with client schedule each week

Cons

Coordinator doesn’t assign clients, you have to pick openings. But, you can’t use your phone while on shift, so when you get done all the available shifts are taken. I asked weekly for additional hours, it fell to deaf ears.

Pros

It's a job that's it

Cons

No PTO No insurance No vacation No nothing. Your hours can be cut off significantly at an instant without any legitimate reason even if you have seniority. There's no such thing as a permanent shift, even if they tell you that it is. There's also favoritism going on. The one that gets most of the shifts. Low pay compared to other homecare agencies in El Paso, TX. There are no raises. No appreciation for good employees/caregivers. Some clients are manipulative, super rude, disrespectful and offensive to their caregivers, even calling them thieves.
