Great Company but Disorganized

My experience at American Auto Shield has been neutral. I love the remote work environment and really enjoy what I do. The president seems like a great guy, my coworkers are wonderful and I love that I get to work with a great team of people.

Cons

The biggest issue for me is how disorganized things have been. The company is experiencing tremendous growth and it’s been a complete whirlwind for me since day one. Things have been disorderly since the day I started working for the company and it's hasn't slowed down. It's a 20 year old company but it feels like a startup. I really love that they are invested in my success and want me to succeed, but my manager can be too involved that it feels like there’s a lack of faith and trust in my ability to complete tasks on my own. This is the first time I've ever experienced anything like this in my career and it's very frustrating and discouraging.

If you have no mechanical experience, this is not the job for you.

Pros

Benefits/PTO are strong. They send equipment and provide training. work from home. I took a smaller wage than I wanted. Haven't stayed long enough to see what the increases are

Cons

work from home. I tried it but it's not for me.
