Pros

Good benefits - Remote first and unlimited (read = max 6 weeks) PTO.

Cons

Extreme amount of turnover, inordinate amount of siloing, lack of support for upward mobility and support while in management, preference for personalities over experience and expertise.

Pros

Remote working, unlimited PTO and four day working week in summer mean that it is possible to have a work-life balance. Ordinary staff are committed to the organization’s values and their work.

Cons

The organization has lost its way over the past couple of years under interim CEO leadership. The executive level seems to have priorities that are mismatched with the rest of the organization. They are out of touch with what employees are doing and delivering at lower levels, yet interfere and micromanage in damaging and counter-productive ways. They are continually away on international travel. They are not held accountable for their decisions or activities. Promotions are based on favoritism and patronage. No salary increases for high performance or duration of service. Lack of opportunities for career advancement.

Pros

Great, people-first, employee-centric organization. Great benefits. They actually care about their employees and the world.

Cons

The organization is understaffed as a whole. Ask for more money when you come in because it's hard to get appropriate raises once you're an existing employee. You will earn every penny
