Pros

American Systems is an employee-owned company that is overall a good place to work. The culture has been positive and there is a sense that people care about the company.

Cons

American Systems is transitioning from a smaller company to a larger company and right now is stuck in the middle. There are a number of growing pains the company is going through in order to become a bigger player in the marketplace.

Pros

The best reason I have found to work at American Systems is that the company is employee owned, and has been paying 7-12% per year additional once you are fully vested after five years.

Cons

I feel like if you are good at your job, and keeping the customer happy, American Systems will keep you in that job regardless of your potential for another fit. They want to keep the customer happy.

Hr is very well structured for remote assistance. The company provides opportunties for junior folks to have a chance into the IT area. Most companies want give junior folks the chance.

Cons

Pay is not that good. Money for education is tight.
