Pros

Good pay, solid hours for development, pretty much make your own hours work from home, it got messy when they brought me over part way to the project management side. Otherwise the flexibility was really great.

Cons

More than half of clients aren't getting websites like it's almost a con the way this place takes the money lol, but just doubles back on access and sort of goes telling concerned clients that non-delivery is their fault that we need stuff from them like graphics but they wouldn't have it most the times and got upset with me regularly over this. So I am supposed to do what? blame clients for not doing our work? Right? Hello.

Your Effort Won’t Matter and Neither Will You

Pros

You meet some nice people.

Cons

People operate as if they could be fired at any moment. Leadership does nothing to correct this perception. If anything, they seem to think it helps productivity. The CTO, for example, regularly oversteps, getting involved in HR decisions and reaching out to employees directly instead of going through their managers. Middle management, either unwilling or unable to push back, lets it happen. HR is present, but not for you. The extent of employee engagement here is a monthly email with a workout tip or a drink recipe. That’s it. If you ever wondered whether HR is there to support employees or leadership, this company makes the answer very clear. Client retention for digital marketing is abysmal. Sales overpromises, and then blames everyone else when clients leave. Instead of addressing the root issues, they prefer to make it an internal problem for other teams to deal with. Sales is wildly untrustworthy. Standards vary greatly across departments, in a poor way. For example, the programming and server teams can push the wrong code and take down sites with no accountability. But they're protected by one of the technical directors who is known for completely losing their mind and yelling at employees on calls, genuinely scaring employees, yet leadership dismisses it as “just how they are.” You can work yourself to the bone and get nothing in return. The only "reward" is a meaningless coin. Leadership expects the world from you but will beat you down until you have nothing left to give.

Pros

Tight-knit group, Lots of talented developers.

Cons

Previous commenters have stated they'll drop you with no warning and blame performance. It's true. If you know someone, you might be okay. I know a few someones, and I was still dumped. Approximately six years of service, with good reviews, and just arbitrarily dropped for, "performance," issues. No warning, no PiP. If you happen to work with these shysters, good luck. Loyalty means nothing to these charlatans unless you're one of the good old boys who've been there since the 90s.
