Pros

Fast-paced, you're exposed to a wide range of clients and industries very quickly. You quickly find yourself diving into different challenges across multiple sectors soon after onboarding.

Cons

Working at Americaneagle.com has several significant downsides that create a challenging and often demoralizing work environment: 1. Inconsistent Expectations There’s no clear standard for employee work arrangements—remote, hybrid, or in-office. For example, I was hired as hybrid for a specific office but later told that was a "posting error" and I had to work at HQ in person full time before discussing relocation. Meanwhile, fully remote employees are hired with none of these stipulations. Leadership pushes for in-office work, but many many employees work hybrid or even fully remote around the WORLD, creating a frustrating double standard and lack of transparency. 2. Extreme Micromanagement The timecard system is one of the worst aspects of the job. Employees must log every single minute of their day, and any time below the billable hours goal is harshly scrutinized, even during inevitable slow periods when there’s little or no work to do. It’s a system that feels punitive and demoralizing, forcing employees to prioritize hitting numbers over delivering quality. 3. Poor Quality Work for Clients The obsession with billable hours impacts the quality of work delivered. Projects are strictly capped by the hours allocated per client, which often forces employees to deliver subpar work in unrealistic timeframes. Rarely do we have the opportunity to “do right” by the client, despite the substantial fees they pay. The focus is on rushing to complete tasks rather than delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions, leaving clients disappointed and employees feeling unfulfilled. 4. Disorganized Sales Team Sales is another major pain point. The sales team frequently overpromises and sells projects without fully understanding what can realistically be delivered. They’re more concerned with closing deals than ensuring feasibility. As a result, the DM team is left scrambling to fulfill unreasonable expectations. This not only jeopardizes the success of projects but also places employees in unfair positions, constantly trying to salvage situations that should never have arisen in the first place. 5. High Turnover & Mediocre Benefits Turnover at Americaneagle.com is extremely high, which speaks volumes about the work environment. Employees frequently leave due to the unrealistic expectations, micromanagement, and lack of support. On top of that, the benefits are mediocre. You don't receive any sick days and if you ask to WFH because you are sick they will take days from your PTO. The health insurance is fine but the 401(k) / match is one of the worst I’ve seen, offering little incentive for long-term commitment.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re sorry to hear about your experience, which contrasts with that of other employees, our culture, and our values. Regarding work arrangements, we offer flexibility tailored to the needs of both employees and clients. While the specifics of work arrangements can vary based on roles and team requirements, we communicate these expectations clearly and fairly. We ensure all employees understand work policies and their alignment with personal and organizational goals. That said, we believe strongly that our clients benefit from a team working together in the office, but we are proud of our flexibility when it comes to providing opportunities to work remotely and at the office. To work from home, more people need the right mindset and expertise. Many people do not qualify for this and it’s bad for their career – whether they know it or not. About time tracking, we understand that our systems are integral to maintaining accountability and efficiency. However, we recognize that they should also empower employees without creating undue stress. Our goal is a collaborative work environment where quality is always a priority. If you can’t complete simply required tasks in your career, you’ll never find satisfaction. Every service professional in the world is required to do this. The global technology sector has faced significant challenges over the past year. Despite this, we are proud to maintain a turnover rate substantially lower than the industry average—a reflection of our commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. We allow employees to use their PTO as they see fit, whether for sick days, personal needs, or vacation. This approach emphasizes our trust in employees to balance their time in a way that best suits their individual circumstances. Additionally, we take pride in conducting extensive annual research to deliver high-quality benefits at a reasonable cost. This ensures our team members can access comprehensive and competitive packages that support their well-being. We also comply with the local law requirements, which you should check out. Our company is proud that many employees have been with us for years, building long-term careers here. We also have numerous client relationships that span decades, which is a testament to the quality of work and dedication our team delivers. These partnerships wouldn’t be possible without consistent value and quality over the years. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. We are saddened to hear you did not enjoy your experience at Americaneagle.com. Our Human Resources team has been working with leadership to improve our overall managerial system by providing them more training resources and relieving their individual workload to be available for employees. Billable hours are very important to us as it is how our company manages project scope. We are a family owned and operated company, but we always promote and hire individuals that have the skills and qualifications to perform the job. We wish you the best of luck in your career!
