Pros

Good people to work with at the local level, some educational opportunities exist through tuition reimbursement and intranet training

Cons

Lip service is paid to work/life balance, but if you're phone is not on you 24/7 (and answered 24/7) you're screwed. Continuously growing demands from upper management with no proper support or mentoring accompanying them. Too much centralization of business functions combined with poor performance from various departments at corporate headquarters; too much bureaucracy.

Pros

If you like the cold, this is the place to go. There are Americold locaitons almost everywhere.

Cons

Very few non-union sites. The environment is very 'machine like, in so much as it churns and churns and spits out people like debris.

Hated one day they decided that the Dock Clerks position was not important to the success of the company.

Pros

If you don't mind the hours and work there is money that can be made.

Cons

Upper level really needs to understand the different positions within the facility before deciding to cut certain positions. Sometimes upper level has no clue on the importance of certain positions or the connection to success of the company as a whole.
