It’s a job, not a career

Pros

Insurance and 401k. It seems like a fun culture at first but then you realize that’s fake. Struggling to fill a 20 word minimum here.

Cons

Impossible to move up without being willing to move anywhere in the country. Internal promotions are a joke. Salary is low and favoritism is high. Managers are either know-nothing college kids with no experience or lazy jerks who take it out on the universe because they stay at a job where they can’t get promoted since they won’t move. The company can’t figure out who it wants to market its insurance to and it shows in profits. Also work life balance is a joke. A major catastrophe could happen and they’ll still penalize you if you don’t show up, because with they still use computer systems from the 70’s and work from home is not an option.

Pros

There is ability to move up quickly with this organization and there is a strong tenure base of employees. Home office employees have their own bonus on top of the company bonus. Sales manager are not part of this.

Cons

Culture has definitely changed in the last ~5 years from a employee based company to a bottom line. I don't use the term political too often, but shamefully this is what happens to upper management. Senior management is NOT to be trusted. If you are a good BS'er you will be fine, but multiple faces appear to be a must for the home office folks.

Outdated and unstructured

Pros

- Nothing that I can think of - One of the most toxic employers out there run by a group of entitled and privileged brats.

Cons

- Organization is very very unstructured - They’ll suck the blood out of every hard working employee - They’ll hire somebody at the Director level and promote them to Sr Vice President in less than 5 months, and hard working employees get no recognition - Their annual pay raises are a joke, hikes are a maximum 4% despite seeing a steady financial performance shown by the company - The company’s data is literally garbage to work with and you ask your manager for help to work with and they’ll downgrade your ratings in the annual performance review - This is the most toxic environment that I have worked in and wouldn’t recommend to you if you wanna get paid a fair salary and would like to see a steady growth in your career I don’t see any efforts for diversity inclusion - hardly any African Americans, Hispanic, or other race employees
