Pros

The benefits are good and the pay is only slightly under the median.

Cons

Some people get away with doing nothing all day while others pick up the slack. Some BSA's have no clue how to do their jobs and developers suffer as a result. Developers are often asked to code based on requirements that dont exist and have to fight to figure out what the business needs are.

Pros

- Great benefits - Overall positive environment - Competitive Salary

Cons

- Advancement is based more on tenure and a few contextualized statistics rather than true job performance. - Management is largely kids straight out of college who are less knowledgeable than the people who have to have their work reviewed and approved by them. - Antiquated business practices. - No solid plan to adapt to a rapidly changing industry. - Not a friendly transition for those with prior insurance experience.

Good work life balance but no growth potential

Pros

Work life balance Great benefits when you are there for a long time Flexibility when you need it the most

Cons

Opportunities are given based on who's who, favoritism, no growth potential, no opportunities given even when asked, quoting from my experience-when it comes to performance rating, even if you have had a good year, you're not given a good rating. No feedback given whatsoever on where you need to improve. They say you do an excellent job. When asked, the reason for lower rating they blame it on the company's budget. Doesn't make sense.
