It's hard to describe the CEO. He used to talk about how he identified with Elizabeth Holmes because she was just misunderstood. Peter is a terror to be alone with so if you take a job here, you need to be 100% certain that you will have minimal (if any) contact. Peter is known to be "kind" in public but intensely harsh and intimidating in private - his goal is to feel like he can control people. The board knows he is bad and yet he is still there, writing inane articles about how he's smarter than anyone else who uses Glassdoor. I would be very, very wary of any positive reviews on this company since I'm sure they are other parts of management or someone that Peter has let be.

Free snacks, location near metro and some really fun folks

Cons

Disorganization, lack of direction, lack of leadership. Some are overworked, some are never consulted for their area of expertise and left with too much free time. The leadership team is disingenuous and the CEO tends to alienate and insult women on a regular basis, which is a pretty well-known and accepted cultural norm.

A portion of the surveys here said it: the difference in men and women's experiences is high, there is poor work life balance unless you are a chosen few, the CEO shouts at employees who commit the smallest error (like utilizing a comma wrong) and there is no space for mistake or development. Many people want to leave. This year about a fifth of the organization all left along these lines and it is not making strides to fix the problems because accountability for the CEO is a sham.
