Pros

The marketplace craves the types of products that Amplify could provide.

Cons

This company has much to offer, however, with a very scattered leadership approach, a petty and mean-spirited manner of treating employees and a lack of direction, I’d stay away. Training here is “do it yourself” and no effort is made to guide employees along in terms of growth plans. Amplify has a difficult time making any important decision and when they finally do...it’s usually wrong.

Terrible management

Pros

Nice neighborhood. Great view of bridge from office. Some very talented people working/worked there. Good work life balance in most departments.

Cons

The most dysfunctional company I've ever worked for. Clueless management that made terrible decisions because they didn't listen to the professional people they hired. Now hundreds of folks have lost their jobs, and the same people who ran the company to the ground are still in charge. Sad.

Pros

Now that we now News Corp is abandoning Amplify, the personnel cuts are going to be coming fast and furious. It's being communicated that absolutely nobody is safe and the reduction will be very large. Everyone is tiptoeing around wondering when the hatchet will fall, and who will go down first. The only bright spot in what will doubtless be a devastating round of layoffs is the hope that the entire cadre of executive leadership will be forced out by the new management.

Cons

It's amusing to imagine how poorly this bad news is going to be handled by this incompetent company. It's unpleasant enough to lay off hundreds of people, but doing so *badly* makes the experience exponentially more painful. Doubtless there will be very, very little communication about it, and what communication there *is* will be vague, meaningless and insulting. I think many of us, if/when we are let go, will be interested in figuring out how to evaluate management competence before we sign on the dotted line for our next gigs.
