Pros

if you are NEW to b2b sales and need to build experience to work at bigger companies, I highly recommend ANGI. It is challenging but they will teach you everything that you need to know about objection handling, persistence, rejection, positive mental attitude, all of the key things you will face in your sales career. I met so many amazing people there that taught me so much and I attribute a lot of my current success to ANGI. I have worked for leaders in the SaaS industry. I’ve sold to CEOS of billion dollar corporations. and I carry everything that ANGI has taught me with me till this day. So if you’re new to sales and you’re on the fence.. trust me.. do it. Their training is best in its class. You will learn SO much. They will set you up for success.

Cons

This job will push you mentally. It is NOT easy by any means and no sales job is but it is super rewarding. You’re dealing with brand new contractors that don’t know what they’re doing and will probably give you the runaround over pricing. You are on the phones from 9-6 all day facing rejection after rejection. The base pay is low (can be made up with commission) but again if you are NEW to sales definitely try it out but this is not somewhere I would stay for the long run. Prob max a year - a year 1/2

Pros

The culture is fun and upbeat at first. Feels really motivating. If you're good at sales you can make a lot of money but they may come with a bit of sleaziness.

Cons

Training program isn't sufficient enough. They throw you to the wolves without an in depth knowledge of the product.

Pros

Angi has a nice office space in downtown Denver. The consider themselves to be an industry leader.

Cons

They try to use a hip office culture to keep employees around who they knowingly underpay. They bleed salespeople. All employees are held to no mercy performance expectations. The product does not work and most of the sales team has to lie in order to sell it and they have no choice to due to the downward pressure put on them by management. They are forcing their sales team back into an office because they do not trust their team to work remote. They have faced multiple lawsuits and have somehow survived an FTC investigation. 90% of the Home Improvement industry thinks Angi is a scam.

Thank you for leaving feedback. We’re happy to hear you like our Denver office - we’re proud of that space, and we brought our teammates back into the office to help foster a culture of togetherness that can be difficult to cultivate as a fully remote team. Teams can better support each other day-to-day while in-person in a way that is different over a Zoom screen, and we have seen the positive effects from this. Regarding pay, we have a compensation structure in place that puts an importance on commissions. This allows our team members to achieve significant earnings with the opportunity to continue growing in their success. We dispute your statement regarding our product. We’ve built up many strong relationships with many of our service providers over the years, and these relationships have been mutually beneficial. We do not allow our sales teams to lie to sell our products and they will face disciplinary action (including termination) if they are found to do so. If you have any experience of this being done, we ask that you reach out to hr@angi.com so we can investigate and address it. In response to the FTC investigation, I'd like to clarify that these allegations were thoroughly reviewed and found to be baseless. We take great pride in providing a high quality product, a commitment we've upheld for over two decades. While HomeAdvisor contested the FTC's claims, we recognized that legal proceedings can be costly, and they divert our focus from our primary mission – delivering exceptional products and experiences that empower our pros to grow their businesses and help homeowners in finding the right pro for the job they need done. We want to emphasize that HomeAdvisor did not admit to any wrongdoing, and there was no finding of any wrongdoing. Instead, we chose to settle the matter to refocus our resources on our core mission. If you have any further comments or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to your manager or our HR team at HR@angi.com. - Craig Smith, Chief Revenue Officer
