Pros

You get to work on interesting projects with a diverse set of technologies to choose from. There is a constant push to improve the workplace environment, and anyone is welcome to contribute to that effort.

Cons

Sometimes you are expected to work overtime for entire months, due to stakeholder arbitrarily set deadlines. Minor perks that make a big difference are sometimes denied to save a couple thousand dollars, for example, the company was resistant to increase the RAM memory of work laptops (despite conputers crashing due to out of memory), or to provide snacks for employees. Eventually they provided these perks, but it should've not taken almost a year for them to happen. Another example of this, is the company's reluctance to provide IntelliJ IDEA licenses for all software developers :s But no worries! We have Microsoft Office licenses!

Thanks for taking the time to share your views. I'm sorry to hear you apparently received some bad information about events: everyone is welcome at our thee major annual gatherings. In addition, overseas offices have their own events budgets. Check with your manager for details.

Pros

Good benefits and office amenities

Cons

When I first started out at this company I was amongst the highest performers on my team and it was a fun work environment. I was able to get promoted from an sdr to an account manager but this is when everything started to go downhill. Within the first week of my new role, I was responsible for training new hires in a role that I had never been in myself. I was essentially doing my managers job and whenever I needed assistance, I was told to ask elsewhere and ultimately never received the help I needed to actually be successful in my role. On top of this the company started laying off entire teams which created a very toxic and unsettling work environment. It felt like I was watching a competition of who could kiss up to management the most in order to not get laid off. My own manager cared more about what upper management thought of him than actually doing his job and helping his team. He would also praise other members of our team for working late at night, implying that the whole team should be working past 5 pm. He made no attempt to get to know me as a person and treated me like a number. I eventually ended up getting let go with no explanation, not even by my own manager, and he never reached out to me to say goodbye or anything. What started as a good experience ended up being the most mentally draining job of my life. I would not recommend working for this company.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that what started as a positive journey turned into a difficult and frustrating experience for you. Feeling unsupported in a new role can be incredibly challenging, and we recognize the impact this had on you. Your feedback about an unsupportive manager is disheartening and we will look into this. Ensuring managers are equipped to support their teams is a priority, and we take these concerns seriously. We appreciate your time with the company and wishing you the best in your next opportunity.
