Hello, as always, thank you for your feedback. We need feedback in order to grow and change. I'm sorry to hear that you don't recommend working at Arcadia. If you're open to talking and working through your cons list, grab sometime for a coffee chat with HR or your manager, whoever you feel most comfortable with, so we can work through the issues and do our best to create a plan to remedy. While I have you, I would like to recommend that you join the DEI slack channel and their meet ups so you can bring your thoughts and ideas to the group. The DEI group is newly formed and working with Leadership to create and push tangible change within our organization. We don't have it all figured out, and when we do, we don't always get it right. Also, change takes time to become real and natural. So, your feedback and engagement is important to help us align, grow and be more diverse and inclusive as a whole. I hope to talk more soon.

Pros

Tons of opportunity to mold your role into exactly what you want. There's lots of support from leadership to pursue ideas and projects, a strong and collaborative environment, and emphasis on employee wellbeing.

Cons

The company moves really fast so not a good fit for people who like static day to day.

Pros

- Tons of free food - Awesome mission - $100/month for the metro - Good location

Cons

Working here seems very exciting in the beginning - the office is very trendy, there's tons of free food, cold brew coffee, etc. However, the organization is poorly run. There is no sense of direction among teams, as well as a serious lack of real HR. Being a startup, most of the people hired are millennials who might overlook a lack of professional conduct when there are shiny things such as relaxation rooms and snack bars around. But eventually the HR function became very much needed, and things that were reported to HR were not kept in confidentiality or handled professionally. There is a ton of internal politics and voices often do not feel that they are being heard. I often felt as though my managers treated me and my ideas as if they were stupid, to the point where I was afraid to speak up. It stems from a true lack of leadership - many of the people holding leadership positions have had little to no leadership training and very little career experience outside of the company, and therefore, working there feels like a high school environment. It's really disappointing because the mission is so great, but it's hard to see Arcadia achieving true success with how things are run internally. It was a very stressful environment to work in due to all the drama. The pay was average, as were the healthcare benefits.
