Pros

Arcadia is a super collaborative environment. Colleagues and management try to help everyone succeed. The company rewards effort, capability, and results while being transparent about areas for improvement. Managers ask about career goals and help make them happen, and opportunities for lateral moves and promotions exist. There is a challenge to creating a company culture when working remote. Arcadia invests in company- and team-wide get togethers at least once annually, which helps significantly with developing good working relationships and aligning on company goals. Pay scales are good and in line with industry averages. Employee benefits are great: Remote work, Flex PTO (that we can actually use!), good health insurance, stock options, and 401(k) program. Work/life balance is reasonable; The focus is on getting your job done and being available when needed, not just being a butt in a seat for certain hours.

Cons

Remote work may not be for everyone. No 401(k) match is available. Stock options are options, not awards. Layoffs can be demoralizing for remaining employees. Product development needs to be faster to maintain and grow customers. Product & process documentation is disorganized, outdated, or missing. Operational support for customers can be lacking until escalated.
