Pros

- Mission driven. Feels good working on problems that directly influence the amount of renewable energy that enters the grid. - People are kind and helpful. - Learning and personal development are encouraged - The office really nice, though I imagine we may outgrow it in the near future

Cons

- Leadership are hesitant to move toward or accept that working from home should be normalized, which seems a little out of touch with how people and modern tech companies view work life in a post pandemic world. - Not much PTO in comparison to industry standard. It's easy to get overworked, and when you're only accruing a few hours of PTO every paycheck, it often feels discouraging to request time off, which leads to employee burnout. - No 401k matching. Hopefully this will change, but without matching, 401ks are just slow growth, low risk investments that aren't really helping the employee plan for retirement (personal opinion).

Pros

Arcadia used to be a company that had a strong mission and was working to impact our world for a better, cleaner energy future. Still some very talented, smart people, but many, if not all have left. The enterprise side of the Business is still headed in the right direction and on track (many of the positive reviews you see here are out of the Atlanta office and from the former Urjanet.)

Cons

Community solar is in a downward spiral. There are constant cuts / layoffs and there is terrible leadership from a team with little experience in actually running a business. Most diversity in the upper ranks has disappeared over the last two years and is a particularly prevalent problem with women leadership who all seem to get boxed out over time. In my tenure, I have watched 10+ women leaders get either cut or replaced with men from the C-suite (COO, CDO, CMO) down through upper management. Arcadia is very clearly moving backwards in its Diversity and Inclusion goals and towards a male dominated leadership team.
