Pros

- Compensates well (so you can bear the humiliation from senior management and Work/Life balance goes for toss) - Smart and friendly folks in Hyderabad office. - Free food and annual gifts.

Cons

- Technical heads in NY including the CTO think they are God and treat others in very condescending way - especially Indian employees. A total My way or highway attitude. - CTO thinks he knows everything so he does not bother listening to others. Why hire smart people when he knows what to do. - All good R&D work is done in NY office and dirty work is sent to India. - Firm depends on some old employees and those employees take too much advantage of it - management doesn't do a thing about it.

Pros

Like everyone knows in the industry Arcesium pays very well (there is a caveat to it though which we will talk about later). Tech stack is improving but still there are archaic programs in production which are written in pearl. Best infrastructure there can be. Shaw name.

Cons

To make is profitable slowly management is doing cost cutting and because of which old culture is fading. Salary structure is a big issue here as your monthly salary will not justify your huge CTC (on paper) that you will boast. There are inflated and dressed up components in salary and variable pay is also there. Off late there were few firings which brought in fear in the mind of employees. Their competitors have started paying very well so people leave regularly here. Operational work is given priority nowadays. Not good for highly experienced candidates. Your manager will forget to send your promotion nomination just like that (I am serious here).

The longer you stay, the longer you are unemployable

Pros

Good culture, good food, round the year activities, the HR department does a good job

Cons

No work/life balance if you are in a position of responsibility. Senior management is very biased and not fair to people. Very slow progress in terms of moving towards newer tech stack. CTC is bloated up. You keep working on the same thing throughout your employment at Arcesium, so the work is monotonous and not challenging. All the teams are quite similar, so changing teams won't help either. If for some reason, you have to join this company (for example, to improve your salary), it will be in your best interest to look for other opportunities within your first year and make the move. Developers have to do quite a bit of operational work. This is true for most teams. People leave the firm left and right.
