Always the unexpected for better or worse

Pros

Imagination can run wild, the IP is great to work with, the culture around the brand and the fascination by the general public and press is great, so good cachet there, the founder is great and has a lot of energy.

Cons

It's a start up going on year five, internal communication and cooperation can be terrible. Senior management are arrogant and clueless, lack of vision and interest in trying to stay ahead of the game. There is a lot of leaning back and assuming greatness when other brands are eating market share and the white space it once owned. The COO wants to be the CEO and causes a lot of problems for the brand to actually thrive.

Pros

The staff there is phenomenal, the relationships between lower level management and other teams is great, Fun environment.

Cons

HR has no idea how to handle situations. Execs have no clue what’s really happening. Managers get away with physical assault and HR turns it into a “learning experience.” Loyalty isn’t a thing.
