Pros

The local office is great. Great people, great environment.

Cons

Been with the company for about 10 years and the direction of the company is all over the place. New faces have been in and out all with different ideas and then they leave. Not much of an identity. Reactionary company, not pro-active. Lots of window dressing, but substance lacking. Par for the course for a large corporate entity though.

The benefits are in line with most company's, great time off benefits and health insurance very good and lower cost than most employers. There are exceptional employees that are always willing to help co-workers which provides for a great work setting.

Cons

Work load expanding monthly. Expectations from management unreasonable and some management personnel are demeaning. Very little opportunities to advance within the company. Reduced walls cubical make us sound like telemarketers

People! I really enjoyed all my co-workers and my direct boss. My boss was the most knowledgeable person regarding Commercial Insurance I've ever known.

Cons

As stated before, this company is a playground for exec's. As long as you're in the good graces of the CEO and CFO you're fine. When you're out, you're out. Some of the business acquisitions appear to be nothing more than just finding a cool international place to open an office. Upper Management has a 3 to 4 year life cycle. You notice all exec's are within 2 years of hire. Enjoy being the cool kids until you get sideways with Mark.
