Good fringe benefits. On site gym. Health program is nice.

Cons

Inexperienced industry leadership. From the top down, these individuals are very set on achieving unrealistic goals, and they slash corporate bonuses when these goals are not met. In addition to their unrealistic goals, they are completely out of touch with their reports, and the organization structure of the company promotes an attitude of zero accountability, which exacerbates the adversity towards continuous improvement.

Pros

Good pay and decent benefits. Ascend is competitive for this area. They try to do a lot for the community, but it is only because they have such a bad image.

Cons

Management doesn't care about employees, HR is nonexistent, company policies are not plant wide. The negative atmosphere makes it not worth the pay.

Ascend is a dynamic place to work. There is never a shortage of things to do and learn. It is fun being apart of a company that not only invests in their sites, but their people as well.

Cons

We change a lot, and that can be frustrating at times. Other than that, it is a great please to work.
