Pros

Decisive leadership, eclectic culture, employees focused on results and doing the best thing for the business, small enough to be more progressive than larger petrochem companies, opportunity to work on big projects and make a meaningful contribution, fun people, a CEO with a vision that keeps people on their toes

Cons

Leadership winds tend to change quickly, high turnover (and sometimes people disappear without warning or goodbyes). Occasionally, hires are duds, which derails the work. Leadership can be harsh and create unnecessary fire drills.

Pros

Good pay, 401k, some good management from the old company still left.

Cons

I can't even describe all the reason in detail. I am not an employee that has recently been reprimanded and lashing out. But everywhere you turn , someone has , or is about to be fired for petty, lnsignificant reasons. Owners and management have lost touch with reality, and expect unrealistic goals and future visions for this company. EVERYONE IS WALKING ON EGGSHELLS ! This use to be a great company full of laughter amd smiles, that understood that mistakes could be made, and that learning from them is always the most ethical and valuable way to treat a mistake. Not anymore, sneeze wrong , and hit the door. Please sell the company already and go treat someone else this way. I've been here over 13 years. I've seen what a good company is .

Pros

Dynamic market. Much opportunity to learn and grow your skills. No boundaries. Can make the job as big as you would like. Good people.

Cons

Due to size sometimes limited resources. Dynamic environment with changing priorities. Planning is not on a long term horizon. Company prides itself in being nimble and changes directions as the market dictates.

Do you have thoughts on how we can delegate more? Are you/your team able to take on more, or are you at full capacity? We agree that it's important to think long-term. Help us be better. We can get there with your input. Thank you. Feel free to send any comments to Ally Jahn, ajahn@ascendmaterials.com. She shares whatever you ask (equally: requests to keep comments private, she does not share) with management. Thank you for helping us be better. Keep the comments coming.
