Pros
I've had six months to experience Ascend. What Ascend does well is internal training and personal communications. The operations sites have a variety of scheduled trainings and management are aligned on Ascend to Excellence continuous improvement related training. Communications come from the first-person perspective and success stories are told through the eyes of employees.
Cons
In an effort to improve, the company is going through large amounts of change at the moment which means tasks and teams are ever-changing. This can be frustrating at times because just when I start to gain traction on one project, I learn that due to change I've got to modify in some way. However, this is not unique to Ascend. Companies at this exciting stage of betterment are always trying new things and change for the better. Working in a dynamic environment is Why I Joined Ascend.
